Road Trip! Prince Edward County, Ontario

Nobody loves Ottawa more than we do, but sometimes we ladies like to pack our cute dresses up & hit the road too! So, this past weekend we decided to leave the city behind. Destination: Prince Edward County.

We got off the ferry and hopped on our bikes - madly throwing swimsuits, sunscreen, lipbalm & a puncture tire kit in our saddlebags - then we hit the country trails looking for fun!  We were directed by a bunch of lovely locals to great vineyards, local swimming holes, killler pizza, roadside smoothies & cute shops. Two days later, we left happy and exhausted with quite a few more freckles each. And we are dying to go back.

Scroll through the photos below for pics of some of our adventures and then make some time to head head up PEC way too. It's summer in Canada after all, we've got to make it count! (-;

The Ladies of Workshop & Flock

P.S. We said cute shops but forgot to take pics of our fave: Kokito. It's a must see.

Have bikes, will use them.

Art is everywhere.

Just when we needed it, we met the lovely Keri who operates a juice bar out of her garage. #womeninbusiness

PEC is full of texture.

Thundershowers. So we nipped in to the nearest distillery for an early afternoon gin.

Beet Salad at Waupoos for lunch.

Followed by Peanut Butter Pie for dessert.

More pretty views (they are everywhere).

Our afternoon dip.

More thundershowers. This time we got soaked.

Fish tacos at the County Canteen (mind blowing).

The adorable Kin Cafe.

Killer art at The Drake.

A little pre-kayaking cider at the Purple House Cafe in Gananoque.

Prince Edward County, We will miss you.
